In an independent review of the administration's practices, it was found that the practice of using snow from colder areas to cool down buildings in warmer areas, is not as Eco as it was thought to be.
The using of snow to cool down buildings may have helped saved businesses energy costs, but delivering the huge quantities of snow by trucks from Hokkaido to Tokyo can cause an increase in the release of CO2 gas. The benefits to businesses may be offsetted by the demerits caused to the environment. As such, this practice will not be carried on.
