A new journey in search of the real Japan

It has been a long time since I posted anything new on my blog. Now that I have reverted to being a housewife (I just moved to Tokyo with my family) for the time being, I guess I shall be having more time to write again. Do keep tuning in!

When I left my friends in Yamagata, I told them that I am embarking on a new journey in search of the real Japanese. In my book, An Alien in Japan, I wrote about many things peculiarly Japanese, some of which I do not quite approve of. Come to think of it, I had only stayed in one tiny part of Japan all these 10 years and what I went through and saw might not be very representative of what the real Japan is. This month, I left Yamagata and relocated to Tokyo. I am now looking forward to see if what I have written in my book is universally true throughout Japan or perhaps Tokyo residents have a different way of life? Thus, I begin a new journey and hope to compile my findings into a new book.

I shall continue to bring you interesting happenings as I come across them here at the same time. Do come back for more.
